Commonwealth Games: Was it worth it for Glasgow?

The closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games marks the end of a seven-year journey for Glasgow, since the city was awarded the Games in November 2007.

Hosting an event the size of the Games is a huge undertaking and an expensive one, at a cost of £575m.

So has the time, effort and public money been worth it?
