Prof Tony Redmond on sending NHS medics to Gaza

The UK is set to send a group of NHS medical professionals to Gaza.

Speaking on the Today programme, Professor Tony Redmond of International Emergency Trauma Register said that 15 people would be travelling to the Middle East.

"We've drawn down initially a group of 15... we need to establish and confirm the links with local authorities there," he added.

"There is a sad pattern of injury with these conflicts and it is that which we will be looking to address."
