Ashya King: European arrest warrant issued for parents
A European arrest warrant has been issued for the parents of a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, missing from hospital since Thursday. Ashya King was taken out of Southampton General Hospital by his mother and father against medical advice.
Police believe the family may be in Spain or France.
Hampshire Assistant Chief Constable Chris Shead has appealed for medical institutions in France and Spain to come forward if they have any information.
He confirmed that a European arrest warrant had been issued for Ashya King's parents but stressed "The primary consideration in all of this is the health and well-being of Ashya".
