DUP's Ian Paisley dies at 88

The former First Minister of Northern Ireland, the Reverend Ian Paisley, has died aged 88.

Ian Paisley was a Protestant preacher turned politician, who for decades fiercely opposed giving the Irish Republic a role in the affairs of Northern Ireland.

But in 2007, he had a change of heart, leading his Democratic Unionist Party into a power sharing agreement with the republicans of Sinn Fein.

Chris Buckler reports.
