A former Scottish secretary has denied there is "organised scaremongering" over the possible economic effects of an independent Scotland.

Lord Reid told the Today programme's Justin Webb there were "immense risks" associated with independence.

Meanwhile First Minister Alex Salmond said the Scots would not be "bullied" by oil companies, supermarkets or London.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Saturday 13 September.
