Islamic extremism is fuelling 'far-right backlash'

A senior Home Office adviser has told the BBC that Islamic state extremism and the Rotherham abuse scandal are fuelling a far-right backlash in the UK.

The man, who does not want to be identified, claims the government has overlooked the problem as it focuses on tackling jihadists.

But the Home Office says it is working to prevent "all forms of extremism".
