Cameron: We must defeat 'poisonous' ideology of IS

Prime Minister David Cameron has told the House of Commons it is essential to defeat "the poisonous ideology of Islamic extremism".

Mr Cameron was speaking in favour of the UK being involved in airstrikes against Islamic State in Iraq.

He emphasised that the mission will take "not just months but years" and the UK should be prepared for the commitment.
