Alan Henning: Muslim leader 'devastated' at murder

Members of the Muslim community in Greater Manchester have spoken of their shock at the apparent murder of British hostage Alan Henning by Islamic State.

Mr Henning, from Eccles, was captured in Syria in December after helping with an aid convoy.

A video purporting to show Mr Henning being beheaded has been released by the IS group.

Asad Zaman, an imam in Greater Manchester who has been campaigning for Mr Henning's release, told the BBC's Clare Fallon he was "devastated" by the news.
