Boris Johnson tackles child at football match press event

Mayor of London Boris Johnson took on some players considerably smaller than himself at a football match near City Hall.

The press event was part of the London Health Commission's report into plans to make the capital healthier.

Mr Johnson joined a kick-about with some local schoolchildren, and appeared to take his eye off the ball when one young player ended up on the ground after a tackle.

The mayor immediately apologised and the boy played on, seemingly uninjured in the encounter.
