Three mile walk underground to coal face for Hatfield miners

The owners of one of the UK's last deep coal mines - Hatfield Colliery in South Yorkshire are meeting energy firm bosses today to try to secure the mine's survival.

It's a three hour return journey to the coal face for Hatfield's 438 employees, involving a three mile walk and a conveyor belt back again.
