Thousands join London rally to demand fair pay

Tens of thousands of people are taking to the streets in London to call for an increase in pay, following a week of industrial action organised by unions.

Rallies organised by the TUC and other union bodies are also being held in Glasgow and Belfast.

Health workers went on strike on Monday in protest at the government's below-inflation 1% pay offer, with civil servants walking out on Wednesday.
