Equal paternity pay for civil service staff from 2015

All Civil Service employees will be offered equal parental pay and support from April 2015, according to Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.

At present, only mothers are entitled to full pay when a couple choose to share parental leave.

The move will not apply to the rest of the public sector, or to private sector workers.
