Whipsnade Zoo: Injured rhino zookeeper's condition 'stable'
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo has confirmed a senior zookeeper who was injured in an incident involving a rhino is now in a stable condition in hospital.
The man, in his 50s, was rescued from a pool in the animal's enclosure at the Bedfordshire zoo.
He has been treated for injuries to his chest, abdomen and pelvis.
David Field, the Director of Zoological Society of London (ZSL) said there would be an investigation into what happened.
