Scotland lowers drink-drive alcohol limit

Stricter rules on drinking and driving have come into force in Scotland.

The current limit in the UK is being almost halved bringing Scotland in line with many other European countries.

The Scottish government says the new threshold will make roads safer and save lives.

Signs warning of the new limit have been placed on key border roads.
