Ed Balls vows 'tough but balanced' economic plan

Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls has insisted that Labour will implement a "tough but balanced" economic plan should the party come to power after next year's election.

Speaking to the BBC, Mr Balls said that spending needed to be cut in "a sensible way" and that a "jobs and growth plan" was needed "to get wages rising".
