Tsunami 2004: Survivor's musical tribute to lost sister

Edie Macgill was kayaking with her mother, sister and boyfriend off a beach in Thailand when the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami struck.

While Edie and Matt Fassnidge managed to escape alive both her mother Sally and sister Alice were swept away, two of more than 220,000 victims of the disaster.

Alice Macgill was a talented musician studying to be a music teacher.

Now married to Matt, Edie has set up a charity called Music for Alice which aims to improve lives through music, by giving grants to musical groups, such as those working with young people.
