Increasing numbers of people taking up climbing

New figures have suggested an increasing number of people are taking up climbing as a sport in Britain.

Moments such as when Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson reached the summit of El Capitan, a 3,000ft (914m) sheer granite rock face in California, are believed to have inspired more people to take up the sport.
