Gary Glitter arrives at trial for alleged sexual offences

Gary Glitter whose real name is Paul Gadd, is facing 10 charges relating to alleged sex offences against three girls.

The court heard that Glitter had crept into a schoolgirl's bed and tried to rape her at the height of his fame.

Glitter denies the allegations, which date from between 1975 and 1980.
