Libby Lane friend: 'Eyes of the world will be on her'

The Church of England will consecrate its first female bishop during a ceremony at York Minster later.

The Reverend Libby Lane, 48, will be ordained as the new Bishop of Stockport, in a two-hour ceremony led by the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu.

Mrs Lane's friend and curate, Reverend Georgina Watmore, told BBC Breakfast's Bill Turnbull it is a "momentous day", but that no one should underestimate "the massive challenge" she faces.
