Met Police: 'Girls will be in grave danger' in Syria
Police have put out an appeal amid fears that three London schoolgirls who have flown to Turkey may be en route to Syria to join Islamic State militants.
Shamima Begum, 15, Kadiza Sultana, 16, and an unnamed 15-year-old, who are all pupils at Bethnal Green Academy, flew from Gatwick on Tuesday.
Commander Richard Walton, of the Metropolitan Police, said he feared they were "extremely vulnerable" and would be in "grave danger" if they reached Syria.
