Syria girls: Aqsa Mahmood family 'deeply distressed'

The family of Aqsa Mahmood, who went to Syria to be a "jihadi bride" in 2013, are "deeply distressed" after she reportedly had online contact with one of the girls who left London last week.

It is feared that Kadiza Sultana, 16, and Shamima Begum and Amira Abase, both 15, may try to join IS in Syria.

Aamer Anwar, the Mahmood family lawyer, criticised authorities for not questioning the three girls' journey to Turkey, the same route used by Aqsa when she travelled to Syria.
