Top sprinter who ended up homeless on London's streets

Jimmy Thoronka was Sierra Leone's top sprinter, but after last summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, he went missing.

He said he was afraid to go home to a country struggling to cope with the Ebola virus.

After sleeping rough and being arrested, he has applied for asylum in the UK.

Supporters of the athlete have raised more than £20,000 to help him rebuild his life.

John Maguire went to hear his story.
