Queen officially names new luxury cruise ship Britannia

The Queen has officially named P&O's new cruise ship Britannia.

A bottle of sparkling wine from Sussex was smashed against the ship during the naming ceremony

The 3,600-passenger vessel is the largest cruise ship designed for the British holiday market, according to P&O.

The ship will be based in Southampton during the summer months, and was built in Italy at a cost of almost £0.5bn.

The vessel is the fifth cruise ship The Queen has officially named.
