Budget 2015: George Osborne warns 'no giveaways'

The Chancellor has warned that there will be "no giveaways, no gimmicks" as he prepares to unveil his Budget.

However, speaking on The Andrew Marr Show, George Osborne did confirm plans to allow pensioners to cash in existing annuities - a change which could affect up to five million people.

Both Mr Osborne and Labour's Ed Balls refused to rule out the possibility of post-election deals with UKIP and the SNP respectively.
