Generation 2015 profiles: Ellie Philpotts
I'm Ellie Philpotts. I'm 19 and from Kidderminster, Worcestershire, but live in Cardiff. I'm in my first year at Cardiff University.
I think young people having a voice within wider society is very important, particularly politically, in the run-up to the General Election.
I like experiencing different segments of society and speaking to totally new types of people.
I was diagnosed with cancer in 2011, which made me very passionate about issues of the NHS.
One of my voluntary projects is teaching English to refugees, and through this I've realised these people don't get enough governmental support - which would improve not only their futures, but also the British economy.
