Darren comes from a small town in County Durham and has been brought up in a working class, single parent background.

He talks about the financial backing needed to gain experience from opportunities such as unpaid internships - despite the fact that he's a hard worker and determined to climb the social ladder, he fears he'll have to take a job he doesn't want to do.

He's thinks that the government is killing aspiration amongst young people in the UK.
