Royal baby notice displayed at Buckingham Palace
A formal bulletin confirming that the Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby girl has been displayed on an easel at Buckingham Palace.
The message, signed by key medical staff, was taken by a royal aide from St Mary's Hospital in Paddington where the baby was born.
The young princess was "safely delivered" at 08:34 BST, the palace said, and weighed 8lbs 3oz (3.7kg).
