Radar developed to detect small drones

Last year a radio-controlled drone came within 20 feet of an airliner landing at Heathrow.

Recently Manchester airport closed one of its runways for 20 minutes after reports of a drone nearby.

Currently radar technology can not spot the drones, but a new piece of equipment being made in the UK could change that.
