VE Day: Vera Lynn shares wartime memories

Friday marks the 70th anniversary of VE Day, when the Second World War in Europe came to an end.

Dame Vera Lynn, the forces' sweetheart, remains one of the most recognised figures of that conflict.

Her songs and frontline visits bolstered the morale of troops and those on the home front as well.

Now 98, Dame Vera has shared some of her wartime memories with BBC News.
