Ed Sheeran ready for sold-out solo at Wembley Stadium

Ed Sheeran will become the first artist to headline Wembley Stadium without any backing band or singers when he opens his run of shows at the venue on Friday.

From humble beginnings busking and playing in pubs, the British singer's latest album has sold more than two million copies and all three nights at Wembley have sold out.

Following the advice of seasoned performer Tom Jones, Sheeran says he will treat the historic stadium like his front room.

Colin Paterson reports.
