Parents 'should brush children's teeth' - Royal College of Surgeons

Parents should supervise or even brush their children's teeth until the age of 14, when their adult teeth are fully formed, experts have claimed.

The Royal College of Surgeons made the recommendation in response to alarming levels of tooth decay in children.

Dental problems are the most common reason for hospital admissions among five to nine year olds in England.
