Clipper race: Mum and daughter take part in challenge

The Clipper Round The World Yacht Race - the world's longest ocean race - begins in London later, and will feature 700 participants over its eight stages, covering 40,000 nautical miles.

Only the skipper of each boat is a professional, the other 20 or so crew are amateurs.

Two of those novice sailors taking up the challenge are mother and daughter Linda and Sophie Crocker.
