Massive sinkhole opens up on street in St Albans

A massive sinkhole that is 10 metres deep and 20 metres wide has opened up on a residential street in St Albans, forcing people to leave their homes.

At least 10 people have been evacuated and more than 50 properties are without gas and electricity after the hole spread across the driveway and front garden of a house.
