Family of Wallasey crash death PC Dave Phillips lay flowers

The wife and daughters of a police officer who was killed after being struck by a vehicle during a police pursuit on Monday, have laid flowers at the spot where he was hit.

David Phillips died from internal injuries after being hit by a pick-up vehicle that mounted a central reservation in Wallasey.

His wife Jen, and daughters Abigail, seven, and Sophie, three, visited the scene, as Ben Geoghegan reports.
