Police threaten Home Office with legal action over reforms

Six Police and Crime Commissioners have threatened to bring legal action against the Home Office over further cuts to police force budgets.

The six, together with London's deputy mayor for policing, say planned changes to the way forces are funded could mean budgets are dramatically reduced.

The government has said the old funding formula was "not fit for purpose".
