'Where there are normally cars, there are now lifeboats'

Flood waters in Carlisle, Cumbria, are beginning to recede, after Storm Desmond brought torrential rains and flooding to many parts of the UK.

The BBC's Danny Savage is in Carlisle's Warwick Road area, where, 36 hours on, people are still being rescued.
