'Civil partnership let our friends relax'

December 2005 saw the first civil partnerships for gay people take place across the UK.

Since then more almost 140,000 people have entered into civil partnerships.

Ten years on, two couples - Percy Steven and Roger Lockyer, and Whitney Bacon and Megan Evans - spoke to BBC News about how civil partnerships have changed their lives.
