Labour's Angela Eagle: 'Safeguards needed for armed police'

Safeguards must be put in place around the use of lethal force by police, Labour's Angela Eagle has warned.

David Cameron has ordered a review of the use of guns by police, examining whether the law gives enough support to officers making a "split-second" decision to shoot.

Ms Eagle told The Andrew Marr Show that police must have the confidence to deal with terrorists and criminals but that there must also be "democratic involvement" in their use of guns.
