Liam Fox MP willing to ask questions in Commons about BCC suspension

A leading EU "out" campaigner, Liam Fox MP, says he is willing to ask questions in the House of Commons about whether the government pressured the British Chambers of Commerce to suspend its boss, after he spoke out against the European Union.

John Longworth, the director general of the BCC, said Britain could have a better future outside the EU, despite the business lobby group's official position being neutral on the issue.

Liam Fox told Pienaar's Politics, "I want to know if any part of the government, not just Number 10... was involved in putting pressure on the BCC to drop John Longworth because I think that is inappropriate and I think if we don’t get enough explanation we’ll have to get a better one on the floor of the House of Commons."
