Lord Bramall on Operation Midland 'distress'

Scotland Yard has said it is closing Operation Midland, an investigation into claims that powerful men abused children in the 1970s and 1980s.

Lord Bramall, 92, was cleared in January this year, nearly nine months after he was interviewed under caution.

The former head of the Army told the BBC that he had suffered "great distress", adding that an apology would be "immaterial".
