"Zara" is the first person in the UK to be given a joint court order to protect her from both forced marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM).

Her father tried to arrange a forced marriage for her on several occasions, but was told by prospective partners -and their families - that they would not marry her unless she underwent FGM, also known as female circumcision.
