Osborne: Life will not be 'economically rosy' outside EU

Chancellor George Osborne has said the UK is going to be poorer after the Brexit vote.

In his first interview since the referendum, Mr Osborne told the Today programme there would "absolutely" need to be tax rises and spending cuts.

"We need a plan as a country to get ourselves out of this whilst respecting the verdict of the British people," he added.
