National Farmers Union calls for Brexit reassurance

The National Farmers Union is calling on the government to ensure that British farms remain competitive with other farms in the European Union when Britain leaves the EU.

Many farmers are heavily dependent on subsidies from Brussels and there is huge uncertainty about what Brexit could mean for the whole agriculture sector.
