Nick Clegg calls for UK drugs 'reform'

Former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has been explaining why he wants UK drug policy to change, after writing in the British Medical Journal that cannabis should be legalised for its medicinal value.

Speaking to Adrian Chiles on BBC 5 live, he said the current 'war on drugs' policy was not working and that addicts needed help and support instead of a criminal record.

“Drugs are really bad, they damage people. I think if we keep doing the same thing, the only people that benefit are criminals”.
