Jeremy Corbyn jokes that Arsenal player Mesut Ozil is paid too much

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has pleaded with Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil to try to make do with his current weekly wage.

Ozil's talks with Arsenal about a new contract have reportedly stalled, although the German says it is because of uncertainty around manager Arsene Wenger's future, and not wage demands.

Speaking to Andrew Marr, Corbyn, an Arsenal fan, joked that Ozil is paid too much and asked him: "Can you just live with what you've got at the moment?"
