The 'secrecy and shame' of having alcoholic parents

Labour MP Caroline Flint has spoken of the "secrecy and shame" of having an alcoholic parent.

She discussed the issue while reviewing the newspapers for the BBC's Andrew Marr Show.

Ms Flint's mother was an alcoholic who died aged 45.

Ms Flint is part of a group of MPs and peers who are campaigning to increase support for the children of alcoholics.
