Fallon: This is a new element to international terrorism

Defence Secretary Michael Fallon told the Today programme the working assumption is the Westminster attack is linked to "Islamic terrorism".

He says the police have forestalled over a dozen attacks in the last year alone but that this kind of attack using items from daily life is more difficult to forestall.

He confirmed the security of the Houses of Parliament would be reviewed.
