A grieving mum meets the woman who made a gown for her stillborn baby

A mum who suffered a second baby loss at birth has thanked the seamstress who created her daughter's burial gown.

Emma Taylor's daughter Olivia died shortly after she was born. It was the second time Emma had to cope with child loss after her first baby was stillborn.

But Emma's grief was eased second time around by a team of volunteers who hand-stitch "angel gowns" for babies who die at birth.

“Unfortunately we never got to take Olivia home," said Emma.

“For me, her wearing the gown, it validates her as a child and not just something that happened.”

The gowns are made from donated wedding dresses.
