May promises 'proper investigation' into fire

The prime minister has promised a "proper investigation" into a fire which engulfed a 24-storey tower block in west London in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

At least 12 people are known to have died in the fire in Grenfell Tower in north Kensington.

Theresa May commended the bravery of emergency services and said the response of the local people had showed the "fantastic spirit" of London.
