'We did it!': Countries celebrate World Cup qualification

Hundreds celebrated as the tiny Caribbean island of Curacao became the smallest nation to ever qualify for the World Cup.

In Panama City, thousands partied in the capital after a win over El Salvador booked their place in next year's tournament.

Haiti fans danced on the streets after the country confirmed qualification for a first World Cup since 1974.

Meanwhile in Scotland, fans rejoiced and chanted in bars after a 4-2 win against Denmark.

The expanded 2026 World Cup format, which features 48 nations instead of 32, is being held in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
